James Medeiros CPA

Jim is a technical accounting and transaction specialist, with over twenty-five years of professional experience across a variety of industries ranging from financial services to complex manufacturing. Jim was most recently the Head of Accounting Policy for Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited. He spent most of his career with Ernst & Young LLP where he was an Executive Director in both the On-Call Advisory Services practice (where he provided technical accounting advice) and Transaction Support practice (where he provided due diligence services on over 80 companies). While at Standard Chartered, Jim advised on the structuring of a number of leasing transactions in the shipping industry and led the Hong Kong Association of Banks response to the joint IASB/FASB exposure draft and re-exposure draft on Leases. He is also a contributor to an article, Leases: Greater Transparency on Leverage Assets and Risk, published by John Wiley & Sons. Jim leads CrossCountry’s lease accounting advisory services. Jim holds a B.S.B.A. from the University of Rhode Island and is a C.P.A.
