Kelly Penton Chacon

Kelly Penton Chacon provides clients with strategic public affairs and media relations counsel. She specializes in developing comprehensive bilingual campaigns focused on generating press and social media that work to garner support from government and business leaders, as well as the general public.

Prior to joining Kivvit, Kelly served as vice president of a Miami-based PR firm, leading accounts focused on public service, economic development, land use, real estate development, and public-private partnerships. Successful campaigns she has worked on include the promotion of downtown Miami’s resurgence, the passage of a public referendum to renovate a major tennis complex by 73% of the vote, a winning bid to renovate a regional convention center, and numerous city/county approvals for the construction of major retail and mixed-use projects in the South Florida area.

Previously, Kelly served as communications director for FairDistricts Florida, a successful statewide campaign to pass constitutional amendments 5 and 6.

Kelly also worked as director of communications for the City of Miami and press secretary for City of Miami Mayor Manny Diaz.

Kelly grew up in Miami and attended Florida State University for her undergraduate studies, while obtaining an MBA from Florida International University.
