Steve Matzke

Steve Matzke is the Director of Faculty & University Initiatives at the American Institute of CPAs. In his role, Steve oversees the Academics Area of the AICPA, which includes the Accounting Doctoral Scholars (ADS) program. He is the staff liaison to the AICPA’s Pre-certification Education Executive Committee. He served the AICPA’s staff liaison for the Pathway’s Commission and is the AICPA’s Technical Advisor for the International Accounting Education Standards Board. Steve is the 2015 recipient of the Federation of Schools of Accountancy’s Practitioner Service Award which recognized his contributions to advancing accounting education. Prior to joining the AICPA, Steve spent eight years as Operations Manager of the Master of Science in Accountancy Program at the University of Notre Dame. He received his MBA from Indiana University and has undergraduate degrees from Purdue University and Indiana University.
