Daniel W. Wallick is a Vanguard principal in the Investment Strategy Group, where he is the head of Multi-Asset Portfolios. During his career at Vanguard, Mr. Wallick has been at the forefront of innovation.
Mr. Wallick has been instrumental in the creation of the Vanguard Capital Markets Model and the Vanguard Asset Allocation Model. He is named in conjunction with a financial patent for Vanguard Managed Payout Funds and played a critical role in the creation of both Vanguard’s Target Retirement Funds and Alternative Strategies Fund. Mr. Wallick is widely published on the topics of portfolio construction and active management.
Before joining Vanguard, Mr. Wallick worked in public finance, where he was responsible for the issuance of more than $10 billion of bonds. He earned a B.A. in history from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. from Harvard University.
