Karen Britton

Ms. Karen Britton is a seasoned executive with over 25 years of experience as a strategic consultant, delivering a diverse range of IT solutions to public and private sector clients. In her role as SVP and COO at e-Management, she assumes a broad range of responsibilities including the company’s expansion into the Department of Defense (DoD), as well as federal civilian and intelligence agencies. Prior to e-Management, Ms. Britton served as the CIO of the Executive Office of the President (EOP) and was commissioned as Special Assistant to President Barack Obama. As CIO for the EOP, Ms. Britton spearheaded cloud computing strategies, agile software development methodologies, and open source platforms. Ms. Britton led a staff of more than 400 and oversaw a $46 million budget. She directly support the President's vision of cybersecurity protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of unclassified information systems. Her leadership led to innovations that enabled and enhanced business processes to all EOP components.
