Kristi Gibson CPA, CGMA

Kristi has over 25 years of experience working with public and private companies in the real estate and construction industries with specific emphasis on homebuilding, commercial acquisition (including development, operation and management), land acquisition and development, hospitality, debt restructurings, structuring settlements to minimize taxes, and providing expert witness testimony.

Prior to joining RSM, Kristi worked at several Big Four firms serving real estate clients and was vice chairman of one firm’s National Homebuilding Practice. In this role, she was on the forefront of developing ideas and creating planning opportunities benefitting homebuilders and served as a homebuilding subject matter expert to domestic and foreign offices. She has extensive experience advising all homebuilders from the developers of master planned communities with robust amenities to the builders of modern condominiums.

Most recently, she owned a tax compliance and consulting practice, serving clients in a variety of capacities, including outsourced CFO, litigation support and management, tax compliance and consulting, and representation related to IRS controversy matters.

Currently, Kristi serves as Lead Partner of RSM’s Homebuilding Practice for the Central Region. She also delivers advice and consultation regarding complex real estate transactions as well as providing compliance services. She is a member of the firm’s National Pass Through Entity Group.
