Kelly K Welter CPA

Kelly K. Welter, CPA has worked in public practice since graduating from Oregon State University and Agder Business College in Kristiansand, Norway in 1994 where she received dual bachelors' degrees in Accounting and International Business. She worked at two local firms in Oregon before moving to Las Vegas in 2002. She then worked as the tax manager at a local firm until going out on her own in 2005 and opened KKW & Associates, Inc. in Las Vegas, Nevada. In 2011, Kelly merged her firm with another local firm, Serl & Keefer CPAs, to form Serl Keefer Welter CPAs, LLP. The firm specializes in Individual, business, and estate and trust taxation and consulting as well as Client Accounting & Advisory Services. Kelly's extensive work with small businesses over the years laid the foundation for her work with businesses in a variety of industries. It is common for her to work with clients from the startup stage, assisting them with business formation, setting up the accounting and payroll, and provide financial, general business, and tax consultation through all the stages of their development. Kelly is working with sole practitioners and small businesses in helping them analyze their current operating and financial situations. She has worked to help them find the balance between their work and personal life and tax situations. Kelly is a member of the Nevada Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Women's Networking Group, and the AICPA American Woman's Society of Certified Public Accountants Task Force. In the past, Kelly has served on the AICPA Private Companies Practice Section (PCPS) Committee, the Women's Initiatives Executive Committee (WIEC), and was the Chair of the AICPA American Woman's Society of Certified Public Accountants Task Force. She also held multiple positions on the National Board for the American Woman's Society of Certified Public Accountants including National President in 2013-2014. She has also served as the Moms In Business Network Southern Nevada Leader, as Treasurer for Boys Hope Girl Hope - Nevada, as Treasurer for GNJ Family Life Center, as Treasurer of Moms In Business Enterprises, and as Treasurer of the Rotary Club Las Vegas Summerlin. Kelly currently lives in Las Vegas, NV with her husband, four children, and a houseful of animals.
