Scott Neat
Associate Director, Office of Examination & Insurance, NCUA
Scott Neat serves as the Associate Director of NCUA’s Office of Examination and Insurance where he is responsible for overseeing the implementation of agency-wide policies related to the examination program. More specifically, he oversees the offices of the Chief Accountant, Data, Systems, Risk Management and Cybersecurity. His office writes or contributes to the development of various regulations, Letters to Credit Unions, and supervisory guidance for examiners.
Scott joined NCUA as an examiner in 1987, and has since held several positions with the agency. These include stints as a Regional Supervision Analyst, Problem Case Officer and Supervisory Examiner. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Kentucky.
