J.H. is part of the Deloitte’s Advisory Governance Risk and Regulatory Consulting Banking and Securities practice, and has over 25 years of Risk Management experience within the Financial Services industry. His core experience covers Credit, Counterparty Credit, Enterprise Risk Management, Operational Risk, and Integrated compliance risk management. He serves as the LRP for Bank of America and the LCSP for BB&T. He also has numerous small and middle market FSI client responsibilities.

His particular areas of focus in credit have included:

• Assisting Organizations in addressing Regulatory Matters (MOU’s, MRA’s, MRIA’s and CO’s)
• In the last 18 mos he has lead several of the large Mortgage CO resolution projects
• Quantitative Methodology incorporating models, validations, and back-testing
• Framework and Policy development
• Portfolio Analytics focusing on improving credit analysis
• Policy harmonization, synchronization, and rationalization
• Process & Controls improvement and transformation
• Integrating risk management practices including Basel II, Sarbanes, and Risk analysis
• Addressing and resolving OCC and other regulatory issues and the Allowance for Loan and lease losses.
