Steven M. Glover CPA, PhD

Associate Dean, Marriott School of Management, Brigham Young University

Steve is the K. Fred Skousen Professor and Associate Dean of the BYU Marriott School of Business at Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah. He formerly served as the Director of the School of Accountancy at BYU. Steve has received the Marriott School's Teaching Excellence and Outstanding Researcher awards. He has taught undergraduate and graduate auditing courses and graduate courses on a managerial judgment and decision-making. Steve has significant audit experience having worked for KPMG and with PwC as a director in the U.S. National Office and he continues to consult with public accounting firms and public companies and serves as a subject matter expert in technical auditing, litigation and restatement matters. Steve is a member of the U.S. Auditing Standards Board of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and has served as President of the Auditing Section of the American Accounting Association (AAA). Steve has published leading textbooks and numerous articles in top academic and practitioner journals. He is a co-author on the monographs Enhancing Auditor Professional Skepticism, sponsored by the Global Public Policy Committee, Enhancing Board Oversight: Avoiding Judgment Traps and Biases, sponsored by COSO, and Elevating Professional Judgment in Auditing and Accounting: The KPMG Professional Judgment Framework, which received the AAA Deloitte/Wildman Medal award recognizing the published work making the most significant contribution to the advancement of the practice of public accountancy. Steve has received best paper awards and awards in innovation in curriculum development.
