Kevin James Ph.D., CPA

Dr. Kevin L. James is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Accounting and Finance at North Carolina A&T State University where he has served since 2010. He earned his B.B.A. in accounting from Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) after which he worked for four years as a financial statement auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers. He returned to MTSU to obtain an M.B.A. in 1995. In 2000, he received a Ph.D. in accounting from The University of Tennessee at Knoxville and joined the faculty at MTSU where he taught ten years. Dr. James is an actively licensed Certified Public Accountant, a member of the American Institute of CPAs and has served on the AICPAs Pre-certification Education Executive Committee. Dr. James has presented and published numerous articles on professional accounting and diversity issues.
