Marissa Graves

Senior Internal Auditor, McDonough Corporation

Marissa is a financial analyst for McDonough Corporation in Scottsdale, AZ. She has four years of experience in public accounting and three years in industry. While in public accounting, Marissa focused primarily on financial statement and internal control audits for large and middle-market public and private companies in a variety of industries including manufacturing (one with a technology component), higher education, benefit plans, hospitality, not-for-profit, retail and government industries. Her most recent experience in private industry includes manufacturing, transportation, and construction components. She has a background strong in internal controls, risk assessment, and value-added opportunities.

Marissa is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants. Additionally, she holds a Certified Internal Auditor license and is a member of The Institute of Internal Auditors. Marissa is in the process of completing her Certified Fraud Examiner license with her membership to the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. She received her Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ. She also earned a Master’s in Business Administration from Texas A&M.

Marissa is serving in her fourth year on the Northern Arizona University Alumni Association’s Board of Directors and has been elected President. She also volunteers on the Northern Arizona University Accounting Area Advisory Council. Marissa is the accountant for the AriZoni Theatre Awards Not-For-Profit organization in the Phoenix area. She is a published author in the AICPA’s consumer book Save Wisely, Spend Happily and a member of the Arizona Society of CPA’s young professional group.
