Chris is a licensed Certified Public Accountant with 27 years focusing on the retirement plan business and addressing fiduciary concerns of plan sponsors. Prior to beginning his career in this specialty, he worked as an auditor with Price Waterhouse.

In 2014 Chris was appointed by the U.S. Treasury to the IRS Advisory Committee on Tax Exempt and Government Entities (IR2014-65). He is a member of the Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee Societies of CPAs and licensed to practice in Louisiana and Mississippi. On a national scale, Chris is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and has served a variety of leadership roles related to employee benefit matters. Presently he has been appointed to membership in the Tax Executive Committee which is the group that sets overall tax policy for the organization. He is also a member of the American Society of Pensions Professionals an Actuaries (ASPPA) and serves on the society’s Government Affairs Committee which interfaces with IRS, Treasury and DOL officials.

Chris is a frequent speaker on a variety of Employee Benefits topics with national and state CPA organizations and the American Bar Association. He is an avid scuba diver with many certifications and enjoys music and grilling outdoors.
