Cicely Lamothe CPA

Cicely LaMothe is the Acting Deputy Director of Disclosure Operations in the Division of Corporation Finance. In her 20-year career at the SEC, Cicely has held a number of leadership positions and most recently served as a Disclosure Program Director responsible for providing guidance on disclosure matters and leading the work of industry-focused review teams tasked with reviewing transactional filings and periodic reports of public companies. In addition, Cicely established and currently oversees the Office of Assessment and Continuous Improvement, which is designed to assess the effectiveness of the policies, practices and outcomes of the disclosure review program to support the Division’s strategic goals. Prior to joining the SEC, Cicely worked in the private sector as the financial reporting manager for a public company and an auditor for a national accounting firm. She received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Hampton University and is a certified public accountant licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
