Cari Weston, MST, CPA, CGMA is Director of Tax Practice and Ethics and oversees the Tax Section for the AICPA.

As a passionate leader in the accounting profession, Cari scrutinizes trends and emerging technology, applying her findings to her 25+ years of experience. The result is innovative solutions that help strategically position the thousands of AICPA members who rely on her team for guidance and information.

She is a frequent writer and speaker on tax, ethics, leadership, practice management, technology, and the future of the accounting profession. She is sought out for her expertise and has been quoted in many news sources including: The New York Times, Washington Post, USA Today, Boston Globe, CNBC, Chicago Tribune, and Time Magazine and actively tweets at the handle @CariWestonCPA.

Cari received her BS in Accountancy and MS in Taxation from the William P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. Prior to her employment at the AICPA, she spent close to 20 years in public accounting, including most recently as the owner of a small firm in Austin, Texas.

On the rare occasion she isn't working, Cari enjoys spending time with her three children, reading or enjoying the outdoors.
