Deborah Stokes

Sr. Vice President, Corporate Controller and Chief Accounting Officer, Kaiser Foundation Health Plan

Deborah Stokes is Sr. Vice President, Corporate Controller and Chief Accounting Officer for Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Inc., Kaiser Foundation Hospitals, and subsidiaries. During her tenure with Kaiser Permanente she has held a variety of senior financial positions, including Director of Internal Audit in Kaiser Permanente’s national headquarters, regional CFO of the operations in three geographic regions, and Vice President in the California operations, with accountabilities for Financial Planning & Analysis. Ms. Stokes previously worked for a non-profit medical research organization, as well as for Coopers & Lybrand, and Deloitte, Haskins & Sells.

Ms. Stokes is a CPA and holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Stetson University (magna cum laude) and a master’s degree in health services administration from Florida International University (with honors). She won the Gold Medal for best national score on the Certified Internal Auditor examination. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
