Melinda Hancock is the Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of VCU Health System in Richmond, Virginia. Prior to joining the $3.7B net revenue academic health system in 2016, Melinda was a partner with Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP with their healthcare practice, focused on payment models. While at DHG Healthcare, Melinda was the national chairperson of the Healthcare Financial Management Association after two decades of active engagement in that professional organization at the state and national level.
Melinda obtained her undergraduate accounting degree from the College of William and Mary and her MBA with a concentration in healthcare management with the University of Phoenix.
Melinda has co-authored several articles regarding payment models, clinical transformation and speaks frequently on these topics.
Melinda serves on several nonprofit boards and is the Richmond area Heart Walk Chair in 2018.
