Asif Ahmad joined Anthelio Healthcare Solutions, Inc. in July of 2013 as Chief Executive Officer. He has unique experience in leading software development, strategy, product management, clinical operations, informatics/IT, patient safety, research administration, revenue cycle and global expansion. Prior to Anthelio, Mr. Ahmad was Senior Vice President of Information & Technology Services for McKesson Specialty Health where he oversaw all technology operations including: information technology, US Oncology's electronic health record, iKnowMedTM, physician/patient portals and data mining for all healthcare informatics technologies, web-based social networks, and technology partnerships and new product development. Before joining McKesson, Mr. Ahmad was VP, Diagnostic Services/CIO and Associate Dean at Duke University Health System and Medical Center where he was responsible for foundational clinical services across three hospitals and ambulatory settings - $900 million revenue, over 1,200 employees and 120 faculty physicians. He was also CIO/CTO and Chair of Clinical Technology Council of The Ohio State University(OSU) Health System and Medical Center. During his tenure, he led and developed technology and workflow optimization plans for a new cardiac hospital at OSU ($100 million project) and completed the rollout of major clinical systems such as CPOE, PACS, and Safety Reporting System ahead of peers nationally. Mr. Ahmad has received many awards and honors including: 2010 named top 10 Disruptive Forces in Health IT (Fierce HealthIT), 2009 CIO Hall of Fame (CIO Magazine), 2008 Top 100 Leaders Award (Computerworld) and 2006 Executive Alliance Quality Leadership Award. Mr. Ahmad earned an MBA at Max M. Fisher College of Business, a MS in biomedical engineering at The Ohio State University and a BS (Honors) in electrical engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology in Lahore, Pakistan.
