Roger C. Gibson, CFA, CFP, is best known as the author of the investment classic, Asset Allocation: Balancing Financial Risk (McGraw-Hill). First published in 1989, it was released recently in its fifth edition and remains a best-selling book on asset allocation. Investment Advisor magazine awarded Gibson the Dow Jones Portfolio Management Award in the category of book publication for this work. The award is given to individuals who have “contributed significantly to the art and science of portfolio management.” The book has been published in German, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Indian, and Russian editions. Gibson has been a frequent speaker at national conferences for investment professionals for 30 years. Financial Planning magazine recognized him as one of the “movers and shakers” of the financial services industry. He is a steering group member and a past Chairman of the Committee for the Fiduciary Standard, a group of leading financial advisors working to uphold stricter standards for all of those who provide investment advice. Gibson earned his MBA from Carnegie Mellon University where he serves an Instructor for the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) certification program. He is the Chief Investment Officer of Gibson Capital, LLC, a Registered Investment Advisor serving high net worth individuals and institutional clients nationwide.
