William E. Balhoff CPA, CGMA

As the Managing Director and CEO for Postlethwaite & Netterville, APAC (P&N), Bill Balhoff leads a top 100 U.S. accounting and consulting firm. Bill joined the firm in 1976 and was named a Director in 1986. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC). In 2013-2014 he was Chairman of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ (AICPA) Board of Directors. He has been named among the Top 100 Most Influential People in the accounting profession by both Accounting Today and CPA Magazine and served as a member of the Financial Accounting Standards Advisory Council. In 2014 he was named Baton Rouge business person of the year. For more than 40 years, Bill has been instrumental in helping Postlethwaite & Netterville grow into the largest Louisiana-based accounting firm. Bill’s influence has helped create an accounting and consulting practice with a diverse skill and service combination and a unique depth of talent. In addition to his impact on the firm and its clients, Bill is active in the profession on a national level. He served on the Special Committee on State Regulation regarding the effects of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Bill has also testified before the U.S. Senate Banking Subcommittee. He served as Chair of the AICPA’s PCPS Executive Committee. Additionally, Bill is a passionate community leader who has volunteered his time to numerous civic organizations.
