Michael Straneva CPA

Mike is the US Real Estate and Construction Sector Leader for S&T and is a partner in the EY Phoenix office. He focuses on real estate appraisal and valuation, transaction due diligence, portfolio analyses and structuring, project feasibility and market analyses, and litigation support services for all property types and uses. Mike serves banking and capital market sector clients (private sector and public sector) throughout the US addressing a complement of issues including valuation/appraisal policies and procedures, loan loss reserve analysis, risk rating system reviews, and loan loss reviews. Mike is the lead valuation expert at EY and has over 30 years of experience in real estate valuation and consulting. Prior to specializing in real estate advisory services, Mike spent 12 years in the firm's Real Estate Audit practice. Mike has been actively engaged with borrowers and lenders in providing distressed real estate advisory/restructuring services. Mike is a certified insolvency and reorganization advisor and has been involved as an expert in a large variety of cases involving real estate collateral. Mike has a Bachelor's in Accounting at Pennsylvania State University. He is a CPA, State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser, Certified Insolvency and Reorganization Advisor (CIRA), certified in financial forensics by the AICPA and serves as head of real estate valuation for EY.
