David Finkelstein CPA

David is a Director in SingerLewak's Assurance & Advisory Practice in the Orange County, California office.

Experience

David has over 20 years of public accounting experience. He has primarily specialized in serving large private and public companies and has assisted his clients with initial public offerings, reverse mergers private offerings, international and domestic acquisitions and various other accounting and reporting issues surrounding other transactions since having joined the firm in 2001.

He is the A&A service lead of his firms internal practice quality committee, providing team consultations on complex issues, developing and delivering trainings, as well as firm policy updates, quality control manual updates, and leading the firm's internal inspection process.

BA, Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting, California State University, Fullerton

David is a member of the AICPA and California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA). He previously served on the AICPA's Technical Issues Committee (TIC), which advocates for accounting firms and their clients in the standard-setting process with the FASB, GASB, ASB, ARSC, and PEEC.

He is currently serving on the AICPA Exam Auditing & Attestation (AUD) Exam Subcommittee.

He was a member of the task force developed by the ASB to evaluate and draft the Statement on Auditing Standards (SAS) No. 142, Audit Evidence.
