R. Chris Rosenthal, CPA/ABV/CFF, ASA, AEP, is a global leader in the business valuation services profession with more than 30 years of experience. As a director with Ellin & Tucker and chair of the firm’s Forensic and Valuation Services (FVS) Group, Chris has been responsible for hundreds of domestic and international valuation consulting engagements throughout the United States as well as Europe, South America and the Middle East. He has testified over 150 times on valuation, commercial damage and forensic accounting issues in federal, state and international courts. In addition, he has served as a court-appointed expert and arbitrator. Specializing in complex estate valuation, assignments, Chris’ clients have included both public and private companies of various sizes as well as families and high net worth individuals. Chris is active in numerous professional organizations and is a nationally recognized speaker on topics related to valuation, commercial damages, and forensic accounting throughout North America. A recognized estate valuation expert he has addressed professional conferences on a local, state and national level. In addition, he has authored numerous articles on related subjects for national, regional and local publications.

Chris is a graduate of Virginia Tech (BS in accounting) and has an MBA from the University of Maryland. He has been actively involved with the AICPA and currently serves as the liaison to the Appraisal Foundation Advisory Council. He is a former member of the AICPA business valuation and ABV exam committee. Chris lives near Annapolis Maryland on the Chesapeake Bay with his wife Kelly and two young children and enjoys boating and fishing for Rockfish in his free time.
