As the leader of her firm’s assurance practice Julie works closely with owners, controllers and bookkeepers of companies with operations in the United States, as well as international companies in Europe and South America. A former controller, she is focused on the technical and compliance aspects of financial reporting which drives her work in assurance, including audits and reviews of traditional financial statements in various industries, and employee benefit plans. In addition, her clients also look to her for other assurance services such as reviews of internal controls and performance reporting.

Julie’s education includes Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Michigan State University; AICPA Cybersecurity Fundamentals for Finance and Accounting Professionals Certification, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants IFRS Related Insights & Presentations: The New Revenue Recognition and Lease Standards and an Accounting Alternative, New Lease Accounting Guidance Issued by FASB, Accounting & Auditing Update, Are You Ready for the New Revenue Recognition Standard?, Performing Employee Benefit Plan Audits, 5 Differences Between US GAAP and IFRS, and Committee of Sponsoring Organizations Framework and How it Applies to Closely Held Businesses Connections in the Business Community.

She is a member of the French American Chamber of Commerce, Private Directors Association, AICPA PCPS Technical Issues, Committee, Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants’ Employee Benefits Task Force, Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants’ Audit Committee, Vice Chairperson.
