Partner, Professional Standards Group, Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP

Jeff is a partner in the Professional Standards Group (PSG) of Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP. PSG is primarily responsible for compliance with accounting, audit and ethics professional standards and providing technical consultation to the firm's assurance services personnel. Prior to joining PSG in June 2010, Jeff was an audit partner in the Atlanta office. Jeff has over 40 years of public accounting experience, serving public and closely held businesses in a variety of industries.
Jeff is a member of the Joint Transition Resources Group for Revenue Recognition (TRG) established by the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) and the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB). The purpose of the TRG is to solicit, analyze and discuss issues with the FASB and the IASB arising from implementation of the new revenue standard. Jeff also serves as a member of the Private Company Council (PCC) of the Financial Accounting Foundation. The PCC was formed to work with the FASB to determine whether and how U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles should be adapted for private companies.
Jeff has previously served on numerous boards and committees of the AICPA, including the Auditing Standards Board, the Professional Ethics Executive Committee, the Technical Standards Subcommittee,and the Technical Issues Committee of the AICPAs Private Companies Practice Section. A 1974 graduate of the Florida State University, Jeff is a member of the School of Accounting advisory board and has previously served as a member of the College of Business board, the National Alumni board and other activities of FSU.
