Andrew Alperstein serves as a partner in PwC's Financial Markets & Real Estate Group. Andrew has more than 20 years of experience in transaction support, financial due diligence, forensic accounting, valuation work and other consulting services related to all major property types. His clients include a wide range of buyers, sellers, owners, users, and financiers of real estate. Mr. Alperstein assists PwC's real estate audit clients with the assessment of fair value measurements reported by real estate audit clients for equity investments, senior loans and mezzanine loans for financial reporting purposes. In addition, Mr. Alperstein has assisted PwC audit teams and clients (including REITs, Fortune 500 companies, and financial institutions) with the assessment of ASC 805 analyses for individual properties and portfolios of all property types. Andrew has also led commercial real estate valuation (ASC 820 & ASC 805) due diligence and consulting projects for REIT's, funds, and banks. Andrew has presented at numerous conferences on real estate valuation topics including ASC820 and ASC 805. Prior to joining PwC, Mr. Alperstein was employed in the national real estate group of American Express Tax & Business Services in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Alperstein began his career in the audit group of Arthur Andersen & Co. Andrew is Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in IL, NY and MA, a Fellow, Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS) and a Designated Member (CRE) in the Counselors of Real Estate, and a Chartered Accountant, South Africa, CA (SA). Andrew is an active member of the Real Estate Finance Association of Boston Education Committee and co-chair of the AICPA Construction & Real Estate Conference Committee.
