David DeVoe has been a thought-leader in RIA Transition Planning for over a dozen years. He founded DeVoe & Company in 2011, which has since supported over 90 firms with valuation, consulting and investment banking services. Previously David served as Managing Director of Strategic Business Development at Charles Schwab Advisor Services. In this role, he created and led Schwab’s Transition Planning platform, which provides comprehensive M&A and succession planning services to RIAs. During this eight-year period, he provided strategic counsel to over 500 advisors. As part of this role, David also oversaw the Strategic Business Development sales team, which manages relationships with Schwab’s large, complex clients. Many of these clients were CPA/Wealth Managers, including McGladrey, HBK Source, HA&W, WTAS, BAM, Loring Ward, and Baker Tilly. Before joining Schwab, David worked in the Strategy Group at American Express. Early in his career, he founded and managed several small businesses. David holds a BA degree from the UC Berkeley, and an MBA from Cornell University Johnson School.
