Martha Sadler is Executive Vice President of Consulting Services with Verisight, Inc. Martha has over 20 years of experience in advising businesses on retirement plan matters. From Verisight’s North Carolina location, she leads the Compensation and Benefits Consulting practice for the firm and individually provides services to retirement plan sponsors across the country. Martha specializes in assisting clients with correcting operational and fiduciary failures. This assistance includes utilizing available self-correction programs, preparing voluntary submissions to the Internal Revenue Service or Department of Labor, and representing the employer in the event of a governmental audit.

Her retirement plan consulting experience includes: Reviewing the impact of legislative changes for plan design opportunities and operational compliance; Determining controlled group and affiliated service group status; Reviewing issues created by mergers, acquisitions, and spin-offs; Analyzing investment returns and plan investment fees; and Obtaining advisory opinion letters from the Department of Labor and private letter rulings from the Internal Revenue Service on complex plan issues.

Martha earned the designations of Certified Pension Consultant and Qualified Pension Administrator from the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA) and is an active member of that organization. Martha also has been certified by the Internal Revenue Service as an Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent.
