The Bonadio Group is a large regional CPA firm with ten offices across upstate New York. Denise is a partner in our Buffalo office and the team leader for our Buffalo audit division. She oversees the employee benefit plan practice for the Western New York region, consisting of over 50 engagements, and serves as a technical resource for all ten offices, encompassing over 400 employee benefit plan audits firm wide. Her experience includes 401(k) plans (including 11-K filings), defined benefit plans (both ongoing and frozen), ESOP’s, VEBA’s, and money purchase plans, as well as preparing 5500 filings for both pension and welfare plans. She is also involved with the firm’s staff training programs and is considered a resource in the community for questions and practical advice in the employee benefits area.
Denise received her B.S. in Accounting from the Jones School of Business at SUNY Geneseo. She is active in the Buffalo community and currently serves as Treasurer for the Buffalo Niagara Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO). Denise is also an active member of Leadership Buffalo. She has been honored with Business First’s 40 Under 40 award for career achievements and community involvement, and was honored as a Woman in Leadership by NAWBO.
