Peter A. Holiat is a Tax Law Specialist in the Exempt Organizations division, Rulings and Agreements branch, of the Internal Revenue Service. He has been with the IRS since October of 2007.  Peter has participated as a speaker at the IRS Tax Forums and Workshops and at the annual Georgetown Law Conference. He has lectured on various topics related to exempt organizations including but not limited to; UBIT, Form 990, exempt status of IRS section 501(c)(3) organization reporting requirements for charitable giving, gaming activities of charitable organizations and employment tax issues. Prior to joining the IRS, Mr. Holiat was employed as a tax attorney at a major law firm in New York City.  He holds a Juris Doctorate and an LL.M. in Taxation from New York Law School.
