Joe Kovacs APR (Accreditation in Public Relations)

After serving 10 years at a Washington, DC area boutique accounting firm that specialized in nonprofits, Joe Kovacs moved to CBM in January 2017 and found himself responsible for marketing oversight of a quickly growing firm with several existing industry niches and services that was rapidly in the process of integrating new ones. He directs marketing and business development initiatives to advance CBM’s growth potential while collaborating with practice leaders on the firm’s niche marketing initiatives through print and digital marketing initiatives, branding and public relations. In addition to his accounting marketing expertise, he has served as director of communications for a non-governmental organization, managed public relations for an engineering consulting firm and a school district, and served in marketing and press relations roles for two nonprofits. He is an accredited public relations professional and a former vice president and executive committee member of AAM.
