Description

The many mechanical tax compliance tests that apply to health plans that must be monitored on an annual basis will be addressed in this session. These include the non-discrimination rules applicable to insured and self-insured plans; cafeteria plans; and the ACA employer mandate rules, including the worker classification rules that apply for determining employees to be considered in this testing. This session will also delve into the funding of health benefit plans by exploring the rules applicable to VEBAs. Participants will be able to:
• Identify annual compliance testing requirements
• Perform annual compliance testing
• Advise clients on the pros and cons of funding health and welfare benefits
