Management accountants and accounting systems have been largely focused on cost measurement and management. This work must certainly expand if accounting is going to better partner with managers and executives to create value in organizations. One critical step is to design and deploy measurement and control accounting systems for revenue management work. This breakout session will briefly introduce a new Revenue Management model that is being developed for the work of accounting and finance professionals, and then discuss the challenges and opportunities for improved revenue management in your organization.
