This presentation examines insights from the 2020 Kitces Financial Planning Process Study. Specifically, this presentation examines topics such as how advisors use their time in the financial planning process, how advisors are efficiently leveraging team structures and technology to serve clients, what a full first year planning process looks like, and what the highest-earning advisors are doing differently than others. Additionally, broader industry issues are examined, such as trends in advisor compensation and fees.

  • Identify how the use of financial planning technology is related to time spent in the financial planning process.
