Description

The session will provide an update on significant events impacting multemployer plans and an update on the status of the new AICPA Audit and Accounting Guide Chapter on Multiemployer plans.  In addition the course will provide some insights on planning and conducting risk assessment for multiemployer plans and overall best practices.  The session will include a discussion on the latest accounting recommendations from FinREC specific to multiemployer plans.  

Learning Objectives:
  • Gain a better understanding of unique considerations in the planning and risk assessment of a multiemployer plan audit
  • Become proficient in accounting recommendations made by FinRec for multiemployer plans.
  • Become up to date on significant events impacting multi employer plan audits.
