Professional liability issues have dogged auditors for decades. Today's auditors face malpractice risks from contingency fees business litigators, regulators, investors, lenders and clients. This session addresses the most frequent causes of action and the strategies to employ in addressing professional liability risks. Topics include the most recent major cases, significant lessons learned from impactful court decisions, trends in plaintiff strategies and disciplinary actions used in civil actions.
