Description

In this session, we will discuss how financial planners can help their business owner clients to prepare their businesses for transition to a new owner. The discussion will focus on three aspects of business transition including 1) preparing next generation leaders to run the business, 2) a review of relevant valuation issues and 3) tax issues that should be addressed prior to taking the business to market. This session is relevant to financial professionals who work with owner managed businesses.

  • Development of next generation leaders
  • Identification of common business transition risk factors and steps business owners can take to mitigate them
  • Identification of important tax issues that should be identified and addressed prior to the sale of the business
