In this session, we will discuss the U.S. oil and natural gas production and pricing outlook for the short-medium term. High level trends will be conversed that will drive the largest shale basins over the next five years, and how changing operator dynamics/expectations will impact growth moving forward. We will discuss what growing infrastructure and exports (both crude and LNG) will mean for the industry, and what impact they will have on local pricing points of both crude and natural gas. Finally, what is the longevity of shale and should we be worried?
Learning objectives:
Recognize the impact a growing Permian Basin has on the US oil & gas outlook
Evaluate basin-level trends to better understand regional production forecasts and pricing impacts
Assess the factors contributing to concern about the longevity of shale
