Oct 27, 2019 12:00pm ‐ Oct 27, 2019 4:00pm

Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) is the process of planning, organizing, leading, and controlling the activities of an organization in order to minimize the effects of risk on an organization's capital and earnings. Every dealership works so hard to generate gross profit, manage expenses and build capital. Organizations need to insure that high risk areas are properly and effectively managed to reduce or eliminate large exposure financial risks. A team of experts will discuss current trends in the following areas to help manage significant enterprise risk that are common in dealerships.

  • Departmental Risks – Mark Seabolt, Director Of Loss Prevention at Peach State Freightliner, will discuss operational risk management. We will explore day to day issues including management of drivers; training, safety and regulations impacting technicians; the parts department; and more.
  • Labor Practices – Labor attorney, Melanie Webber of Fisher & Phillips, will discuss recent developments in labor and employment law. We will discuss steps employers can take to minimize risk and potential liability.
  • F & I Compliance – F&I Compliance Expert, Gil Van Over, will discuss the key attributes of a Compliance Management System. We will discuss a compliance program and the compliance audit function.
  • Cybersecurity – IT Partner, Chris Wilkinson of Crowe LLP, will discuss the ever changing cybersecurity threats evolving. We will discuss what these real world attacks involve, and what your organization needs to do to prevent, detect and respond to today’s threats.
