In this session, participants will learn several ways to use Excel to help detect and prevent fraud, including working with random numbers, applying Benford’s Law, and cleaning general ledger data so it can be pivoted and analyzed in detail. The goal is to provide CPAs with guidance for testing data for authenticity and reasonableness.
