Description

This workshop is not available as part of the Online or Flex Pass registration options. This session focuses on the numerous ways that individuals and organizations locate and "mine" your personal information. The presentation includes live demonstrations of how you and your family are likely to be attacked and the easy steps that anyone can take to prevent becoming a victim. The audience will learn immediately how to locate exposed personal data on the internet, properly obfuscate, remove, and secure said data, and prevent further exposure by implementing actionable security measures into their day-to-day lives. We will look at the methods employed by criminals and potential "cyber-stalkers" and then walk through the appropriate defensive measures to mitigate our likelihood of being victimized.

Learning Objectives:

1. Attendees will leave with the knowledge and tools to complete a privacy/security assessment on themselves and their families.
2. Learn how to remove personal information from the internet and prevent further exposure via social media platforms, mobile devices, and other security attack vectors.
