With the stroke of a pen on a grand jury indictment, the Enron Task Force destroyed Arthur Andersen LLP and its 85,000 jobs world-wide--only to be reversed three years later by a unanimous Supreme Court because Andersen's conduct was not criminal and the prosecutors had persuaded the judge to take criminal intent out of the jury instructions.
