The session will provide and overview of budgetary and enforcement priorities of the United States Department of Labor based upon their Fall 2016 regulatory agenda which sets the priorities for the DOL for 2017. Anticipated subjects to be addressed will be an update on the enforcement of the Fair Labor Standards Act Overtime Rule Changes, Final Rule changes to EO 13706 providing Paid Sick Leave to covered federal contractors and the scope of that coverage as well as any new priorities set forth by the DOL in the wake of the outcome to the 2016 Presidential Election.

Learning Objectives:

  • Participants in this program will gain an understanding of not only the DOL priorities for 2017 and beyond, but will also gain an understanding of how to work with their clients on these initiatives to try to raise awareness and mitigate any risks that they may have.
