As we move toward a full reopening of the economy, higher hydrocarbon prices are allowing operators to return to the drill bit while still meeting investor demands for capital constraints and real returns. In February 2020, bp unveiled a new purpose and set out to reimagine energy for people and our planet knowing it would require reinventing bp. Jack Collins, President of Denver-based BPX Energy, will review bp’s ambition to become a net zero company by 2050 along with 20 aims set forth to achieve this and other goals. In particular he will focus on BPX’s contribution to these goals – specifically net zero emissions in operations, reducing methane emissions, and advocating for change.
