Did you know that women are responsible for many of the attributes that make work teams and firm performance better? Intelligence, psychological safety and retention rises based on women’s expertise. Yet women’s levels of confidence rise more slowly than men and self-advocacy can create a “double-bind” which hinders career progress. Women make up 39% of global employment but account for 54% of overall job losses. Beyond potential job loss, women are also experiencing the pressure of childcare, racial inequality and mental-health challenges. During this course, we will take a look at data to illustrate the impact and the opportunity from the lens of different groups of women, including women of color. We will also site best methods to achieve resiliency and results - feeling empowered to accomplish, despite challenging times. Join RSM to discuss the current state of gender equality and what steps we can take to ensure progress for women continues.

Learning Objectives:
  • Understand the impact of COVID-19, the challenges and benefit of the new normal
  • Identify key gender inequality issues and how to address them for success
  • Determine what steps you can take to own your future and close the gender gap

  • Tracey Walker, CCD-AP, National Sr. Director of Government Affairs and Culture, Diversity and Inclusion, RSM US LLP
  • Dara Castle, RSM Women's Initiative Leader; Managing Partner, Washington Metro Offices; Practice Leader, Government Contracting Practice, RSM US LLP

What do men and women have in common when it comes to leadership? Perhaps taking their team and company to the next level. Perhaps bringing more revenue into the company. Perhaps being the best they can be... But despite their similarities, men and women are hardly treated the same.

It's not a secret - "Women want to be treated equally - not Identically"™.

No matter your level of expertise, you will walk away with a wealth of self-discovery and new concepts to grow yourself and your career in leadership through these seven keys to success in business - and life:
