As the National Leader of the Consulting practice, Delf has honed years of experience working with America’s wealthiest families. In addition to meeting ongoing client needs, Delf is charged with the continuous improvement and implementation of Grant Thornton’s comprehensive Client Service Delivery Process. He focuses on ultra high net worth clients.
Experience
Delf has 30 years of experience managing the delivery of complex integrated financial services to high net worth private businesses and business owners. Services include sophisticated financial transactions, wealth transfer planning, charitable planning, perpetuity planning, life insurance analysis, asset protection, divorce proofing, and income tax planning.
For seven years Delf was the Global Partner in Charge of strategic client service delivery for high net worth owners and their closely held businesses at Arthur Andersen, when the firm was the largest professional services firm in the world. He worked with clients whose minimum net worth was $100 million. Of 900 private client service employees, he was one of 17 partners on the National Specialty Team for Family Wealth Planning.
Delf was previously Managing Director at a financial planning software company that designed and developed sophisticated SAAS-based software. The application included powerful support tools that provided goals analysis, solution option selection, decision support, complex financial modeling, “what-if” scenario projections, document management and implementation. Its features supported a method and system to determine the effects of financial decisions on stakeholders—both people and entities.
