What Have We Learned and Where Are We Going? An Interactive and Interview-Based Discussion with Fraud Investigators, White-Collar Criminals and Our Future Business Leaders

This session will review what future accountants who are entering the profession are thinking regarding business
fraud, auditing and white-collar crime. Based on responses collected from students’ review of “Crossing the Line:
Ordinary People Committing Extraordinary Crimes,” and of several recent white-collar crime cases, this interactive
session will offer some important information as to how future accountants view fraud schemes. Participants will
be able to:
• Increase knowledge and awareness of future accountants’ view of ethics and white-collar crime
• Discuss strategies to improve ethical critical thinking for future accountants
• Improve critical thinking skills via multimedia learning principle
